Al Davis was the longtime principal owner and general manager of the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL) for 39 years. Known for his motto "Just win, baby," Davis was a controversial but highly influential figure in professional football. He served as the head coach of the Raiders from 1963 to 1965 and as the commissioner of the American Football League (AFL) in 1966. His contributions to the sport led to his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992.
