Al Kaline, famously nicknamed "Mr. Tiger," was an American professional baseball right fielder who spent his entire 22-year career with the Detroit Tigers. An 18-time All-Star and a 10-time Gold Glove Award winner, he was renowned for his powerful and accurate throwing arm, as well as his consistent hitting. Kaline was a cornerstone of the 1968 World Series champion team, finishing his career with an impressive 3,007 hits and 399 home runs. In recognition of his legendary career, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980, his first year of eligibility.
