Gale Sayers, known as "The Kansas Comet," was a legendary American professional football player. He spent his entire career as a running back for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League from 1965 to 1971. Despite a career shortened by devastating knee injuries, his incredible speed and agility made him one of the most exciting players to ever grace the field. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977 at age 34, remaining the youngest inductee in the Hall's history.
