Harry Robbins 'H. R.' Haldeman was a prominent American political aide and businessman. He is best known for his role as White House Chief of Staff to President Richard Nixon from 1969 to 1973. Haldeman became a central figure in the Watergate scandal, leading to his resignation and subsequent conviction on charges of conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and perjury. After serving 18 months in prison, he rebuilt his life as a successful businessman until his death in 1993.
