John Grigg

John Edward Poynder Grigg was a notable British writer, historian, and politician. He was famously known as Lord Altrincham before he disclaimed his hereditary peerage in 1963. Grigg gained widespread attention in 1957 for publishing an article that criticized Queen Elizabeth II and the court, arguing for a more modern monarchy.
