Lita Grey was an American actress who began her career in the silent film era. She is most famously known as the second wife of legendary actor and filmmaker Charlie Chaplin, whom she married at the age of sixteen. Their turbulent marriage and highly publicized divorce became one of the biggest Hollywood scandals of the 1920s. Later in life, she wrote two autobiographies detailing her experiences with Chaplin and her time in early Hollywood.
