Mikhail Saakashvili is a Georgian and Ukrainian politician who served as the third President of Georgia for two consecutive terms from 2004 to 2013. A leader of the Rose Revolution, his presidency was marked by significant anti-corruption and economic reforms, as well as the 2008 Russo-Georgian War. After his presidency, he moved to Ukraine, where he was appointed Governor of Odessa Oblast and became a prominent figure in Ukrainian politics. Facing legal charges in Georgia, which he maintains are politically motivated, his career has been characterized by both sweeping reforms and intense controversy.
