Peter Erskine is an acclaimed American jazz drummer and composer, known for his versatility and profound musicality. His career began with the Stan Kenton Orchestra before he gained international fame with the influential jazz fusion band Weather Report in the late 1970s. Following his tenure with Weather Report, he became a highly sought-after session musician, contributing to over 700 albums and film scores. Erskine is also a dedicated educator, serving as a professor at the USC Thornton School of Music and authoring several instructional books.
