Sarah Good was one of the first three women to be accused of witchcraft during the infamous Salem witch trials of 1692 in colonial Massachusetts. As a homeless and destitute woman, she was a social outcast and an easy target for accusations from her neighbors. Throughout her examination and trial, she vehemently maintained her innocence, becoming known for her defiant and aggressive responses to the magistrates. Despite her proclamations of innocence, she was convicted and subsequently executed by hanging on July 19, 1692.
