Sylvia Earle is a world-renowned American marine biologist, oceanographer, and explorer celebrated for her pioneering research on marine ecosystems. Often called "Her Deepness," she has led over 100 expeditions and logged more than 7,000 hours underwater. Earle was the first female chief scientist of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and is a National Geographic explorer-in-residence.
