David Alan Stockman is an American politician and former businessman who served as a U.S. Representative from Michigan from 1977 to 1981. He gained national prominence as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1985. As a key architect of Reagan's economic program, he was a fervent advocate for supply-side economics during his tenure.
