Jerry Coleman was an American professional baseball second baseman, manager, and long-time broadcaster. He played for the New York Yankees from 1949 to 1957, winning four World Series titles and being named an All-Star and World Series MVP. Coleman was also a highly decorated U.S. Marine Corps aviator, serving with distinction in both World War II and the Korean War. After his playing career, he became the beloved 'voice of the San Diego Padres' and was honored with the Ford C. Frick Award by the Baseball Hall of Fame.
