Joseph Wilbur Adcock was an American professional baseball first baseman and right-handed batter in Major League Baseball. He played for the Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Braves, Cleveland Indians, and the Los Angeles/California Angels during a career that spanned from 1950 to 1966. Known for his tremendous power, Adcock was one of only a handful of players to hit four home runs in a single game, a feat he accomplished in 1954. After his playing career, he also managed the Cleveland Indians and worked as a scout and coach for several other teams.
