Theologian

John M. Hull was an Australian-born British theologian and emeritus professor of religious education at the University of Birmingham. After a lifetime of deteriorating sight, he became totally blind in 1983 and began documenting his experiences on audio cassettes. These recordings formed the basis for his seminal book, 'Touching the Rock: An Experience of Blindness,' which offered profound insights into the nature of perception and identity. His work has been widely influential in the fields of theology and disability studies, and his life was chronicled in the acclaimed film 'Notes on Blindness.'
