Paul Eldridge was an American poet, novelist, and teacher, known for his cynical and ironic literary style. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he spent many years living and teaching in various parts of the world, including France. He is perhaps best remembered for his collaboration with George Sylvester Viereck on the fantasy trilogy "My First Two Thousand Years: The Autobiography of the Wandering Jew." Throughout his career, Eldridge published numerous volumes of poetry, short stories, and plays, often exploring themes of disillusionment and the absurdities of human existence.
