“Gentlemen, I am about to pronounce sentence on the accused. I command silence. Anyone who makes a noise or disturbance will be fined the price of a drink for all present.”

“This court is now in session, and if you've got a case, spit it out.”

“I feel that justice has been done. The deceased came to his death by a hand unknown to this court.”

“Hang 'em first, try 'em later.”

“I fine this corpse forty dollars for carrying a concealed weapon.”

“By the authority of the constitution of the United States, the great state of Texas, and this court, I hereby pronounce you man and wife. May God have mercy on your souls. Ten dollars, please.”

“It is the judgment of this court that you are hereby fined the sum of ten dollars and a round of drinks for the jury.”

“In the name of the constitution of the United States, and the state of Texas, I fine you two dollars!”

“You are fined five dollars for contempt of this court, and I'm knocking off the price of a drink.”
