Ville Hermanni Valo is a Finnish singer, songwriter, and musician, best known as the lead vocalist of the gothic rock band HIM. Born in Helsinki, he formed the band in 1991, which went on to achieve international success with their unique 'love metal' genre. HIM released eight studio albums before disbanding in 2017, after which Valo embarked on a solo career under the moniker VV. His distinctive baritone voice and poetic, often melancholic lyrics have made him an influential figure in the rock and metal scenes.
