Kim Campbell is a Canadian politician, diplomat, lawyer, and writer who served as the 19th prime minister of Canada from June to November 1993. She was the first and, to date, only female prime minister of Canada, holding the office for a brief but historic period. Before becoming prime minister, she held several cabinet positions, including Minister of Justice and Attorney General and Minister of National Defence.
