Victor Buono was an American character actor, comic, and singer, celebrated for his large size and deep, resonant voice. He earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his debut film role as the pianist Edwin Flagg in 'What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?' (1962). Buono became widely recognized by television audiences for his recurring role as the villain King Tut on the 1960s 'Batman' series. Throughout his career, he embraced his distinctive persona, often playing grandiose, menacing, or humorous characters in film and television until his death at age 43.
